I got involved with smoking the freebase form of MDPV about a year ago and I have been a daily smoker of it ever since.

This stuff is strong. I am unaware of anyone who has tried this form of the drug who wasn't 'hooked' from the very first try. This is serious business - I am 40 and have been a recreational drug user and occasional addict of substances across the spectrum for 30 years. Nothing has ever had its claws in me like this stuff.

Given my family/work/social situations, my addiction takes place within the constraints of a rather pedestrian suburban life. Given this, I've learned some degree of moderation... I eat normally - and don't have to force myself to do so (in fact, a year in, I have to be vigilant about eating too much!). I sleep fairly normally - I certainly never, ever stay up all night.

These restrictions have saved me from what I see as a much more terrible fate - something I see in the handful of local friends/acquaintances with whom I share this addiction - and pool resources to buy in quantity.

These guys aren't married, don't have kids, don't have the kinds of jobs that require them to maintain schedules... As a result, they are prone to completely losing control.

For example - and I am not embellishing this in the least...

Three of us bought 100g together. On arrival we converted 10g to freebase and split it... 3, 3 & 3 - and smoked the 1 together. I left the remaining 90g with them. This was on a Thursday.

I went home with my 3g and used it as normal... When I returned on Tuesday - with still a couple of days worth left from my 3g, I discovered that they had consumed the entire remaining 90g between Thursday and Tuesday. Two dudes, also 40.

A hit of MDPV freebase can provide a sexual rush that feels like actual fucking. It is largely impractical for sexual use, however, because MDPV also kills erections.

One of these dudes has spent this past year as a fellow MDPV freebase smoker, but instead of working or being otherwise productive, he's essentially spent the entire year in front of his computer, smoking MDPV, watching porn and flogging the bishop. No joke.

He's thrown away a full year of his life in order to beat off under the influence of MDPV.

Now, I'm not saying that I've never whipped up a batch under the influence, or that I've never slipped it in where I probably shouldn't have a few times... Thank God I've been able to keep it down to a 'reasonable' amount of times. I know for certain, however, that if it weren't for the automatic restraint extant in having kids in school and being on the Zoning Board and volunteering at my church and being a husband and employee, I could very easily end up flogging my life away like my compadre.
