I went into a pagan magic shop in a neighboring town to do a bit of shopping. Unable to resist the smell of incense I indulged in a bunch of purchases of different sticks when I noticed little bags of homemade herbal house blends. I had heard of this stuff before, but thought it was made illegal. I asked the shop owner if this was the type of incense that was 'not for human consumption'. She gave me a knowing smile and said, 'Yes. And it's very good.' I bought two small 1 gram bags and happily took them home.

That night I put about a fourth to a third of one of the baggies into a joint. Five minutes into smoking I felt a heavy body feeling much like marijuana. A few minutes after that extreme dry mouth and a need to snack set in.

Some snacks were great, some not so much. Things like salt and certain textures were too overpowering and those snacks wound up in the garbage. Peanut butter, however, was heaven. I started thinking about making a sandwich out of it. I wildly thought, 'I'll make the largest sandwich in the world and then dive into the peanut butter in the middle!' This thought lead me to vividly visualize myself doing just that. I knew it wasn't real, but my imaginative thoughts, for a few minutes, seemed to materialize for a few split seconds. It was the most entertaining thing in the world.

About fifteen minutes in I called a friend. This friend always talks quickly and cuts me off. During this call they seemed to speak slowly giving extra long pauses between statements. I asked them if I was speaking quickly. They assured me that I wasn't. Time was just moving slowly.

I made myself some tea and headed to bed and enjoyed the next hour and a half comedown. It was warm and cuddly. I had no hangover the next day - just a mild feeling of laziness.

If I could say the experience was like anything I would say two hours of a marijuana high with the first half hour also being like and LSD trip (no visual tracers) and the rest being like a mild MDMA come down (it does come and go in waves). Definitely something I want to try again.
