SWIM tried this for the first time the other night. He has prior experience with most common recreational substances, but particularly enjoys MDMA and more recently 4-MMC.

4-FA was obtained from an internet site that seems to have a decent rep and be very professional. Substance came sealed in one of those nice little vacumn bags and was a very fine white powder.

Two gel-caps were carefully weighed out with 100mg placed in each +/- 5mg. They were consumed orally with water with about 1 hour between each. SWIM had last eaten a light meal about four hours prior and consumed a couple of glasses of wine in the intervening period.

Overall the experience was a disappointment, the mild euphoria first appeared at approximately T+0:40, this continued to build through the second dose reaching a peak at about T+2:00 but in no way compared with the intensity of a good roll or the explosive energy of 4-MMC.

By T+4:00 the euphoria had completely died away and although heart rate was a little fast, it was like a few strong cups of coffee. So SWIM retired to bed and with a couple of sleeping tablets slept well and awoke the following morning feeling no after effects other than a general tiredness as might be expected. There were no bitten gums, very little dilation of the pupils, all in all a very unstimulating experience.

In terms of intensity, SWIM says that he often talks about the difference between 4-MMC and MDMA as follows. With the former you are pushed up real tight against the music and it pulsates through you. With a decent Molly/MDMA roll you ARE the music, actually inside of it. With 4-Fluoroamphetamine, he was standing at the bar watching the DJ play a decent set. Not even close to the speaker, but a bit better than driving by the bar with the windows open.

One final note - SWIM had a similar experience with Methylone a while back, so maybe there is something these chemicals have in common. Or maybe both were just chalk dust?
