DOSE:
8 mg   Pharms - Buprenorphine
  2 mg   Naloxone
BODY WEIGHT: 145 lb
I was always a weekend drinker and dabbled in weed in high school. Nothing major. Interestingly, any other 'drugs' scared me. I was given percocet after a car accident and as you can see where the story goes-I was hooked from there. I graduated from a pretty meager dose of 20 mg/day to 40 mg Oxycontin a day plus Norco for breakthrough pain. I've also been given Xanax and Adderall. When I go to the doctor or pharmacy I get looked at like I'm a lunatic.

I knew I had a problem with the Oxys when I'd run out early each month, leading me to call family to get a script for me any many other stupid things. I finally read up on Suboxone and decided to ask my pain doctor for it. He gladly wrote me a script and gave instructions about when to start it.

Well, he gave me enough Suboxone to take away withdrawals from a 1000 pound elephant. Or maybe I'm just a weakling-I don't know. I took it when I was in full withdrawal before going to bed one night and woke up the sickest I have ever been in my life. I threw up every fifteen minutes from 6am-5pm. My doctor finally called in some anti-vomitting medication. It was horrible.
I thought I was going to die.

After that I found a new doctor and just went back on a lower dose of my painkiller. I find them to be much more 'familiar' and I know how much I can handle. Plus, I was HIGH on this stuff. Whoever said this doesn't get you high, was high themselves. Anyway, I have a whole batch of them left and would probably take maybe 1/2 mg if I ever resorted to them again. I am planning on tapering off opiates completely. I love them but hate relying on them. I can see Suboxone being a good drug in an in-patient type setting, but I could see where one could get out of control with these...Just my experience. Thanks
