Some friends and I got a large order of canisters in. I had done balloons before, and I often had amazing trips, often convinced I was seeing the future or had what felt like everything in the world of the balloon was a message, unlocking the secrets of life.

On this occasion (40ish balloons, I had also taken mephedrone and smoked a few spliffs), during one balloon I actually felt myself going backwards through my life, literally being sucked back until I was going back into the womb at the hospital, shrinking to a cell and there was a bright blinding light flashed and I remember being scared that I had gone back so far that I was now trapped in this world of emptiness. I told myself that “I was onto them” and that they were going to keep me in the balloon world and then I was rapidly sucked back through time, there was a machine firing up with lights than came on one by one as if my “life generator” was rebooting, I kept hearing 5,4,3,2,1 and the numbers came with symbols, with a windscreen wiper gliding from side to side. When I hit number 1 I saw a shoe with a question mark on, and it was at the bottom of the stairs over the banister. For some reason this image filled me with dread. I almost heard a voice taunting me, annoyed that I was pushing the limit and staying in the balloon world for longer than I should have, like I had seen too much. With that, I had finished the balloon, then lay still for a few minutes afterwards, tingled and excited about what I had seen.

This was my deepest trip yet. I found myself thinking that life didn’t seem real after that, and I started thinking the existence of this world was just a fabrication of my mind, and that the balloon world was reality.

I really enjoyed the experience, I’ve always thought there is more to life and more the brain is capable of so I firmly believe that this was a genuine vision.
