20 mg | oral | 4-AcO-DMT | (powder / crystals) |

I bought the aco about 3 months ago, and in that time I had had one experience with it, where I ingested about 8 mg of it, which resembled a 1g mushroom trip. I had one other trip with 4ACODMT previous to that, but it came from a different source. Today, I decided to up that to 20mg, which is still within the normal dosage for the chemical, albeit closer to the higher end of the spectrum. When I went to do it, I noticed that it was no longer a powder, it was now a sticky brown gum like texture. I figured that it was just starting to break down, and if anything, become less potent. At about 12:30, I ingested the substance, and almost immediately I started feeling the effects, after about 15 minutes, I was definitely feeling quite high, and climbing. I decided to lay down in my bed and listen to some music. I put on an old saikopod track. As I was listening to the music, I started getting a growing feeling of discomfort all over my body. When the track was over, I got up, and put on another one, with the uncomfortable feeling also increasing. At this point, it felt like a maybe a 3g mushroom trip. As the second track ended, I was starting to feel increasingly drowsy, along with the discomfort. I decided to just listen to silence for a minute, and lay in bed, and I had some trouble keeping my eyes open.
Suddenly, the clock says that it's been over an hour since I last looked at it, and all I have done is listen to two tracks. Now I am thinking that I have possibly just blacked out. The trip is really starting to get intense now, and I can feel my heart rate starting to really move. I am also now getting waves of weakness, and my body is shaking uncontrollably. At this point, I decided it would be a good idea to drink some water, I go to the tap, and down a couple of glasses of water and go outside and sit on my porch. After a couple of minutes, things calm down, but it's very temporary. I start getting an extreme thirst, as if all the water is leaving my mouth.
The high also has suddenly changed, rather than fluidic spiral like patterns, suddenly everything has a very jagged geometirc patterning. I am also experiencing extreme spatial distortions, as well as a sensation that there is a separate layer of reality, just outside of the one I am in, where my body is going through extremely chaotic and violent events. I can actually sometimes see this second reality as an overlay of the one I am currently situated in. I go back and drink some more water, and call a friend to come over, but he lives about a half hour away. At this point, things were really starting to get weird. I am definitely tripping hard, but there is this other element of something like a poisoning, this extreme thirst is now really starting to geek me out, and I am getting stronger waves of weakness, as if I am about to black out again. I look down at my hands, and they are shaking rapidly and uncontrollably. I also start dry heaving, with a bit of water coming up occasionally. At this point, I think that things are really starting to go wrong and I decide that I am going to have to call 911. I make the call, and they show up in about 5 minutes from calling, the strap me into the stretcher, and start questioning me about what I have taken, how I took it, if I was on anything else. The police then show up, and ask about what the situation is. I told the paramedic that what I had taken was similar to mushrooms, and she thinks that what I took was some kind of mushroom mixture. The cop makes a remark about it being 'crazy shit' and laughs. I had the substance to give to the paramedic, and she showed it to the cops, but they decided to send it along with me for testing. As we are driving the paramedic in the back with me starts talking to me about ecstasy, and how I never know what I might be taking when I am taking it. Uhhh thanks I guess...
I am then taken into the emergency room, where they hook me up to a bunch of machines to monitor my vitals. I am so thankful that they decided to just watch and see what happens, rather than immediately deciding to pump my stomach. I spend another two hours in this hospital room, still feeling as if I am about to die. My body is now very weak, and I am extremely thirsty still. They took a blood sample, which made things even worse for awhile. And then kind of let me just ride things out, monitoring what was going on. After awhile I was moved to the regular emergency room to wait things out, and I was starting to get my strength back, and I was also coming down from the high, they let my friend come in and hang out with me while I waited. While I was there, I definitely got a 'second class citizen' attitude from most the staff. The doctor eventually came in and told me that they were going to let me leave, and that they disposed of the chemical. He said that if I wanted to do something like that again, that I should think hard about it. I guess my blood work also showed that I had smoked up recently (I had been vaporizing with my girlfriend the night before), because he said that the marijuana was going to have to be my decision as well.
I have been in many situations where I have felt overwhelmed, but I have never felt something like this before, where my body felt as if it was starting to shut itself down.
