I have taken methylone on many occasions. I decided to write because I have injected it intravenously many times, and I haven't seen many reports about this ROA.

The first time I bought 5g of very pure, yellowish crystalline methylone. First I insufflated one line (about 50 mg), and after noticing the presence of amphetamine-like effects, injected some. The effects were pleasant, so I injected the whole batch in four or five days. I was able to sleep every night, after stopping the shots for a couple hours.

The effects were mild and upbeat, with a warm and gentle rush followed by artistic inspiration and some sexual arousal. The rush lasted only a few minutes (less than five), followed by a very gentle high of 20 minutes or so. I was also able to work and to communicate with people on a fairly normal basis. In fact, I found that my mood was enhanced. The downside was that it became quite fiendish towards the end, so I was kind of glad when it finished. I took about 100 mg dissolved in water each time, but I took up to 250 mg without any problem (actually, it felt really good).

A few months later I managed to buy 500 g (about a pound) for US$ 900, and injected as before. This time the effects were more speedy, and overwhelming on occasion. Probably there was some chemical difference on this batch as compared to the previous one. Shots of over 100 mg sometimes lead to panic episodes, and once or twice I thought I was having a heart attack.

I used it for about a month. It became so fiendish that I locked it in a drawer and gave the keys to my wife, who promised not to give me the keys before two weeks had passed. She followed her promise, so I broke the drawer’s lock and went on using methylone on a crazy four-day binge, with very little sleep and food. At the same time I also took small amounts of cannabis, alcohol and not so small amounts of 4-FA. In the end, I threw all the methylone in the toilet and flushed it down.

After that I bought, shot and lost control over methylone use on two other occasions, so here is my testimony: Methylone can be taken IV, the effects are powerful and very pleasant, overdose was not easy to happen, but this ROA made the drug highly addictive.

It has been 11 months since I used methylone for the last time. Sometimes I still crave it, but I truly hope I will not give in. Most of the time, it is just a funny memory. Apparently it hasn’t caused any permanent damage, and I don’t seem to have any sequels from my previous use.
