Greetings Entheophiles,

After a few weeks of instability and failed diagnostics with our server in October, the primary hardware was replaced. Happily, we're now back to running smoothly. Huge thanks to everyone who was involved with that upgrade.

As you've probably noticed, it's easy for us to decide to forego announcements during busy periods, so this announcement is the first since the end of September. We've been very busy (as usual) during the last couple months, with the most recent project being issue 2 of Erowid Extracts, our members newsletter. [What idiots decided to make a paper newsletter!? We're all fired!]

Members should receive issue 2 within a few days, assuming no problems with the postal service. Those of you who aren't Erowid members can now check out the first (May 2001) issue of Extracts online: Erowid.org/general/about/about_newsletter.shtml

During the next couple of months we're hoping to focus on completing some new infrastructure at Erowid. The new design, including new headers, navigation, and document revision tracking, will better support the excellent volunteers we've been working with (thanks!) as well as helping us keep up with the growth of the site. We're excited about the upcoming changes.
