Ten Years Ago...
Summer appears to be coming to an end in our part of the world. As students return to their classes in the U.S., Erowid traffic begins to rise again. With 45,000 visitors per day, Erowid continues to play its role as a key resource and education tool about psychoactives.
One of the projects we're currently working on is a new system to help us better process all of the wonderful image submissions we receive. Hopefully this new system will speed up our response time and, like the experience report system, allow us to publish these great photos on a more regular basis.
We welcome submissions, suggestions, criticisms, or corrections at submissions@erowid.org.

An International Symposium on the occasion of the 100th Birthday of Albert Hofmann. This three-day event is shaping up to be an exciting one. Dozens of great speakers are scheduled to present on a wide variety of LSD-related topics. Earth and Fire will be conducting a seminar and Spoon and other Erowid crew members will also be attending.

As of Aug 1, the EcstasyData has run out of funding. We are unable to accept pills sent in for testing at this time. We are currently seeking grant writers and grants to support this important project. Contact info@ecstasydata.org.

Ten Years Ago...
In September 1995, we were working to create the beginnings of the
Erowid website. Fire was just learning html and added the scraps of
data Earth gathered (from usenet, mailing lists, and conversations with
knowledgable people) to the small but growing site. We had recently
attended our first Burning Man festival, which certainly fed our
already strong interest in alternative culture.
