In History... 50 Years Ago This Month
October 1962. A mysterious plant used ritually by the Mazatec is sourced in San Jose Tenango, Mexico, dried for transport, and brought to the United States by R. Gordon Wasson and Albert Hofmann. This specimen is later examined and given the name Salvia divinorum by Carl Epling and Carlos D. Játiva-M.

In the same month, Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert launch the International Foundation for Internal Freedom (IFIF), a group with the mission of administering and investigating consciousness-expanding drugs.

  1. New MDMA and MDA Effects Duration Graphs
We made new duration charts based on data from two separate papers (Harris, Baggott, et al. 2002 and Baggott, Siegrist, et al. 2010) that describe experiments in which humans were given MDMA or MDA. Notably, the MDA research showed that around half of the twelve subjects reported they still felt high at eight hours after being given approximately 100 mg of MDA.
Ecstasy Data
EcstasyData is a project of Erowid Center that conducts laboratory testing of street ecstasy tablets and publishes these and other test results online.
