Erowid.org About
Erowid Monthly
In 1995, the National Science Foundation Network decommissioned the publicly-financed portion of the Internet backbone, allowing unrestricted commercial use of the Internet and heralding a new era in world-wide communications. That same year, the Erowid web site was born.

It's been a long, often enjoyable, and sometimes challenging road to carry out our mission of providing objective, accurate, and non-judgmental information about psychoactive plants and drugs. Our success depends on your support. With only a couple years to go until our platinum anniversary, please take a moment to make a donation to Erowid Center, or to become a member, and chose one of several gifts that we offer to those who contribute--perhaps one of the new EroLogo t-shirts, which feature blacklight glow-ink!

In History... Seven Years Ago This Week
On February 21, 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the DEA must allow members of the ayahuasca-using União do Vegetal church to import and use their DMT-containing brew until and unless a final decision is reached in their legal case which decides otherwise. This was a major victory for the religious use of psychoactives in the United States.
