April 1966 - Sandoz Pharmaceutical recalls the LSD it had previously
manufactured and distributed, and withdraws its sponsorship for work
with LSD. One month earlier, "LSD: The Exploding Threat of the Mind
Drug that Got Out of Control" had been Life's March 25th
cover article.

edition. The eighth of the "Pharmacology" series, this lab book
represents mostly subjective responses by Shulgin and his research
group and active dose work-ups of more than 33 substances. It covers
the end of 1984 through most of 1986.

motivated to develop a translation for "psychedelic"; historically
Chinese relies on the word "hallucinogen". Proposes that characters
signifying "Tao" and "heart", together, can be re-translated into
English as "leading to the heart/mind" or "elucidating the mind".
