This short book includes 40 mushrooms that a mycophile might come across while tromping through the woods. There is a single page of information for each mushroom, including a color photo and a color drawing, classification, a short description of habitat, distribution and growing season; then slightly longer paragraphs for description, edibility, and general remarks. It is a nice introductory book perhaps for a young teen first interested in mushrooms, but doesn't include enough information or detail to be of interest or use to anyone more advanced.
