Jurema Folk Use
In Mexico, Jurema is toasted and powdered bark is a traditional burn remedy and is also used for other skin lesions. It is harvested commercially in great quantities for the purpose of manufacturing into a burn medicine. More recently it has been promoted for treating stomach ulcers.
