But foaf's friends had quite a healthy serving of it, with no noticeable effects. Can anyone give us advice on how to rescue the THC he wasted? Here's what foaf did: Toasted about 1/2 oz. of pretty good shake. (Gottlieb suggests a 1/4 oz. of buds.) Chopped up about a cup of fresh dates, finely. Ground up the grass into a fine powder in an electric coffee grinder. (Gottlieb says to "pulverize it" into the fruit.) Put the dates and grass into a pan, with 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of currants. Mixed it all up while it simmered. Added the spices (coriander, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon). Added 2 tablespoons of butter, let it melt and mixed it in. Simmered it on low heat for another 5 minutes. That's it. The stuff tastes really great --- if a little weird and nasty-looking. But no buzz at all from it --- So what went wrong? Foaf was very careful not to let it burn or get to hot. . . So he's at a loss. Is there anything we can do at this point to activate the grass? Should he put in more butter? Serve bigger servings?
