Abstract
1,117 studies of LSD and mescaline were made in 63 normal subjects, psychoneurotics and schizophrenics. LSD was used in 881 studies and mescaline in 235 (adrenochrome in one). 25 studies (13 with LSD and 12 with mescaline) are reported in detail. Treatment with LSD and mescaline is indicated in psychoneuroses, especially anxiety neurosis and obsessional neurosis. The drugs may be given alone or combined with other treatments (electroshock or insulin shock). The use of LSD as an aid to group psychotherapy is suggested.
