Abstract
Three excerpts from a large number of studies demonstrate that in some psychodynamic changes seen after the administration of LSD, mescaline or other drugs the general pattern is one of personality-specific responses rather than drug-specific responses. The changes are, in fact, a specific personality reaction to a stimulus disturbing the subject's equilibrium. . The value of such drugs lies in the fact that they induce phenomena which often bear a close resemblance to those seen in clinical work.
