Abstract
If 2 rats are exposed to electric shocks they take up an aggressive attitude to each other. "Tranquilizing" or "stimulating" drugs are administered to study the diminution or reinforcement on the excitability of the animals. . Among the stimulating agents examined, the following substances prolong the duration of the aggressiveness in the test 2-10 fold: LSD (25-100 mcg/kg). cocaine (5 mg/kg), pervitin (2 mg/kg), pipranol (7.5 mg/kg) and benzedrine (5 mg/kg).
