Abstract
The effects of LSD25, administered in a single dose of 100 mcg/kg weight, on aspartic acid and alanine transaminase activity in the brain and liver were determined in 40 rats. One hour after administration of the drug the activity of the enzymes was inhibited; after 24 hours a significant increase in activity occured both in the brain and the liver, more evident with GPT that with GOT. The eventual relationship between the data obtained and the findings reported in literature concerning the inhibitory effect of LSD on glycolysis are discussed. Summary.
