Abstract
3,4-Methylenedioxyamphetamine ('Ecstasy') is a dangerous designer drug of abuse. It is a methoxylated amphetamine related to both hallucinogens and stimulants. The drug is known to affect synaptic serotonin and noradrenaline release, though the precise mode of action is unknown. There are no reports of opthalmic complications of ingestion of this drug to our knowledge, and we report three such cases.
