DESCRIPTION
Selegiline increases the actions of dopamine in the brain by inhibiting the enzymes that break it down. After being sold for years as an anti-aging supplement and a treatment for Parkinson's disease, the FDA approved use of a Selegiline transdermal patch (Emsam) for treatment of depression in 2006.
